About Us

Tourism Richmond is a non-profit, membership - driven destination marketing organization (DMO) that promotes Richmond, British Columbia, Canada as a destination to leisure travelers, meeting planners, travel media and organizations that influence travel. 

The primary mandate of Tourism Richmond is to enhance awareness about our destination through sales and marketing initiatives and by providing excellent visitor and member services. Ultimately, Tourism Richmond's goal is to increase economic activity related to tourism for the City of Richmond and all stakeholders.

Tourism Richmond is British Columbia's fourth largest DMO. Richmond served as an official Venue City for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

Richmond is served by Metro Vancouver’s Translink public transportation system of buses and light, rapid transit, which includes the Canada line train. See additional map for the Canada Line route). A full-day transit DayPass is $9.75. Buses operate between 5 am and 1 am daily and full schedules can be found at translink.com.

Getting to Richmond

If you are flying by Air, you will arrive at the Vancouver International Airport or YVR. If you are travelling by car, Richmond is a 25-minute drive from downtown Vancouver, about the same as it is from the US Border. In total, it’s a three-hour drive from Seattle, four hours to Kelowna and 11 from Calgary.
