Animal Paintings from the Permanent Collection
The Rufus Lin Gallery of Japanese Art, an art museum specializing in curating and exhibiting contemporary Japanese artists, is pleased to announce its first exhibition for the year 2012, entitled “Animal paintings from the permanent collection”, featuring 15 imaginative paintings depicting cats in kimonos, rabbits, goldfish and more. All paintings are by artists currently active in Japan, and this exhibition has been specially curated, drawing from the Gallery’s rich and varied permanent collection.
The exhibition runs from January 16 to February 10, and admission is free. The work is in a variety of media and styles. Selected paintings will be available for purchase, with proceeds shared by the artist and the Gallery’s ongoing mission to bring Japanese art to the North American public. The Rufus Lin Gallery is a not-for-profit, philanthropic venture founded and supported by Rufus Lin
